Once inside, they nest in attics — often above bedrooms — where they chew insulation, wiring, and ductwork. House mice are much smaller than rats — but what they lack in size, they make up for in numbers. A single female can produce up to 60 offspring per year. Mice can squeeze through openings as small as a dime, making utility penetrations, gaps around pipes, crawlspace vents, and foundation cracks common entry points.
